prayer cloth

Today was the end of a great family vacation to Gatlinburg. I will be leaving one week from today to head to El Salvador and it was great to have a family vacation before leaving. My aunt had made me something very special before the family trip and while we were there, they all gave it to me. While my family was standing in a circle, mom, dad, brothers, aunt, uncle, grandparents, and a few cousins, my aunt starting talking about how she had made me a prayer cloth. It is something very special that is giving to remind the person that there are people praying for them. As it was passed around the circle and as we prayed as a family there in Gatlinburg, I couldn't help but think that all my family, even the ones who were not in Gatlinburg, and many friends are standing behind me 100% and will be praying for me as I am about to leave for the next few months. I am so blessed to have such a Godly family and so many Godly friends. I will carry this special cloth with me to remind me that my family and friends are praying for me. So when I am having a bad day, they are praying, when I don't feel good or need the strength to go on, they are praying. I cant wait to start what feels like a new journey God has sent me on. I have so many emotions about what the future holds but am very peaceful knowing that God is in control.

Well today was a very emotional day. It was bitter sweet because it was my last day at my job. I was very sad to be leaving but at the same time very excited to see what God has in store for me. Some of my very sweet coworkers threw me a going away party. They had a cake and all of my favorite "work" foods. These are the foods that they always bring to parties that are my all time favorites. I was so greatful for everything today. They made it very special. I am very excited at what is about to come but also a little nervous not knowing what will happen next. Even if I don't get to return to my job I just left, I know God will have something better, and I just have to trust in Him.

Hey everyone, well only less than 3 weeks until I go to El Salvador for 3 months. I can't believe I am about to go on this journey. I never would have thought that I would ever be doing something like this for this long. But I guess when God wants you to do something, He will change the desires of your heart to His desires. I am starting this blog so family and friends can go on this journey with me. I asked that everyone pray for me until I leave and while I am gone. I am not that good at writing but I am just going to write what is on my heart while I'm there, and share with everyone what I will be doing. I hope everyone enjoys. Thanks for all the prayers and support
